Art Direction & Photography by me Model: Jet van der Veldt
This series was photographed in a former women’s prison. The environment inspired the shoot about loneliness and escaping from reality. Another inspiration for these shots are the paintings of Edward Hopper and the way he used his colours and played with picturing people looking out of windows in his paitings.
The work was created together with Jet van der Veldt, who did a performance where she linked keys together to form a huge chain, symbolizing a way of escaping. Not by opening doors with the keys, but by creating a Tangled-like strip.
